Materia Medica for Pain Single Herb
Apply some Castor oil on the affected area. Heat with a hot water bag. Now massage with powdered Acacia Concinna for 15 Minutes. Wash the area with hot water and wipe it.
Oil is used for several types of pain. Apply it on the affected part twice a day.
Bodhi Tree leaves mixed with Jaggery leaves, and taken in the form of pills.
Birch ( Bhoj Patra ) as an Analgesic
The essential oil of Birch ( Bhoj Patra ) can be applied externally to relieve Headache, Menstrual Cramps, Abdominal Cramps, Gout, Rheumatism and other pains.
Castor ( Arandi ) Leaves for Pain
Castor ( Arandi ) possesses Analgesic property. Hence, it proves to be beneficial for curbing external pain.
Steam the leaves of Castor ( Arandi ). Place over the affected part and bandage. Leave it overnight. Do it daily until the problem persists.
Sodom Latex as an Analgesic
Apply Latex of Sodom over painful areas.
Boil Elder leaves in Olive oil. Use it to apply over painful areas.
Crushed leaves of Yerba Santa can be applied externally to treat all types of Pains.
Cut an Onion ( Pyaz ). Warm in Sesame ( Til ) oil. Massage affected area with this oil for 15 minutes.
Apply the roasted leaves of Damiana ( Dhatura ) on the affected area to relieve Pain
Almond Oil ( Badam Ka Tel ) contains analgesic properties. It cures general pain. Warm few drops of Almond Oil ( Badam Ka Tel ). Massage over the affected area for 5 minutes twice a day. It relieves pain efficiently.
Cypress Essential Oil as an Analgesic
Cypress Essential Oil holds the good Analgesic effects. It gives relief in any type of pain. Whether it is associated with muscles or joints.
Mix 10 to 15 drops of Cypress Essential Oil with Mustard Oil or Olive Oil. Slightly warm the mixture. Massage the affected part for 5 to 10 minutes. Cover the area after massaging.
Note : Good to do it at night.
Cinnamon Essential Oil has analgesic effect. It eases any type of pain and reduces the inflammation.
Add 4 to 5 drops of Cinnamon Essential Oil in any carrier oil (like; Mustard Oil, Olive Oil). Slightly warm. Massage the affected area with the lukewarm mixture for 5 minutes.
Basil ( Tulsi ) as Muscle Relaxant
Add 10 to 12 fresh Basil leaves in a cup of warm water. Boil it for 5 to 10 minutes. Strain well. Drink two times a day.
Add a handful Basil Leaves in water. Soak a cloth in it. Dab the soaked cloth on the affected area for 10 to 15 minutes. Do this twice a day to relax the Muscles.
Juniper Essential Oil helps to regulate the blood circulation. Its Analgesic property reduces the pain and relaxes the muscles.
Add 10 to 12 drops of Juniper Essential Oil in 25 to 30 ml of any carrier oil. Mix well. Take 1 to 2 tablespoon of this Oil blend. Apply it on the affected area. Gently massage for 10 o 15 minutes. Do this daily to reduce Pain.
Chamomile Essential Oil helps to reduce the Pain and soothes the Nervous System. It helps to reduce the stiffness and Pain.
Add 6 to 10 drops of Chamomile Essential Oil in lukewarm water. Soak the affected area in the water for 10 to 12 minutes. Rinse off. Do this daily for a week.
Sandalwood Essential Oil is helpful to treat Pain in any part of the body. It cures Muscular Pain, Joint Pain and Headache.
Add 10 to 12 drops of Sandalwood Essential Oil in 25 to 30 ml of any carrier Oil. Mix well. Apply and gently massage this Oil blend regularly on the painful areas of the body daily.
Rosemary Essential Oil possesses strong Antispasmodic and Analgesic properties. These properties help to reduce pain and spasm in any part of the body. Rosemary Essential Oil treats Headache, Muscular Spasm and Joint Pain.
Add 10 to 12 drops of Rosemary Essential Oil in 30 ml of any Carrier Oil. Apply this Oil blend on the painful areas. Massage for 15 minutes regularly.
For Headache :
Use a cotton ball to apply this Oil blend on the affected area. Gently massage for 10 to 15 minutes. Do this two times a day to get relief from Headache.
Thyme Essential Oil stimulates the blood flow. It gives relief from the pain caused due to Muscle Spasm. It relaxes the body and soothes the Nerves. Thyme Essential Oil is helpful to treat Arthritis Pain and Headache.
Add 4 to 5 drops of Thyme Essential Oil in 2 to 3 tablespoon of any Carrier Oil ( Sesame Oil ). Mix well. Apply it on the affected area. Gently massage for 10 to 15 minutes. Do this twice a day.
Marjoram Essential Oil relaxes the tensed Muscles and supports the Nervous System. It treats Headache, Migraine, Muscle Pain and Joint Pain.
Add 10 to 12 drops of Marjoram Essential Oil in 30 ml of any Carrier Oil. Mix well. Apply this Oil blend on the affected area. Gently massage for 10 to 15 minutes.
For Headache and Stress :
Add 2 to 4 drops of Marjoram Essential Oil in the diffuser.
Wintergreen Essential Oil possesses strong Analgesic and Antispasmodic properties. These properties help to reduce Pain and improves the blood circulation. It gives relief from the Pain due to Gout and Muscular Discomfort.
Add 10 to 12 drops of Wintergreen Essential Oil in 30 ml of any Carrier Oil. Mix well. Apply this Oil blend on the affected area. Gently massage for 10 to 15 minutes. Do this twice a day.
Frankincense Essential Oil helps to calms the body and reduces Pain. It stimulates the blood circulation and relieves stiffness of the Muscles. Frankincense Essential Oil helps to treat Abdominal and Stomach Pain.
Add 10 to 12 drops of Frankincense Essential Oil in any Carrier Oil. Mix well and apply it on the affected area. Gently massage for 10 to 15 minutes.
Prepare a paste of Turmeric ( Haldi ) by adding water. Apply a layer of this paste on affected area in order to reduce pain.
Rub Pithecellobium Dulce leaves against a hard surface. Apply it on the affected to reduce the pain.
Take Ziziphus Xylopyrus seeds and roast them. Grind this roasted seeds. Apply over the chest for relieving the pain after Cough and Cold.
Gently massage with the Bay Essential Oil mixed with carrier oil such as Coconut Oil over the painful areas for 20 minutes.
Extract the juice from fresh Basil leaves. Mix this juice with Coconut Oil in a ratio of 1:1. Apply it on the affected area.
This remedy is also useful in case of Pain due to Burns.

Herbal Treatment For Pain 1
Boil the leaf juice of Trailing Eclipta and Jequirity with Sesame oil. Cool it. Massage with 1 tablespoon of this oil Two- Three times a week and take a bath.

Take Ginger ( Adrak in India ) powder, Black Pepper ( Kali Mirch in India ) powder and Turmeric ( Haldi in India ) powder in equal quantities and store in a bottle. Take half tablespoon twice a day with lukewarm water. for 7 days. It is useful for all types of Pain.

Mix the chopped leaves of Oregano ( Sathra ) with Oats ( Jai ) .
