Swamp Pea General
The leaves, fruit and bark of the plant are used medicinally in Ayurvedic and Folk medicine. It treats a variety of ailments. Swamp Pea is non toxic. It is used in treating new born. The leaves of the plant are Tridoshnask. The leaves are very effective for all Fever types. The bark of the plant is Astringent in nature. It is used as a general Tonic.
Single HerbTake the leaf juice of Swamp Pea and apply all over the body. It lowers the temperature.
OR : Apply leaf paste of Swamp Pea on your body.
Make a paste of the seeds of Swamp Pea and apply.
Steam the Swamp Pea leaves. Wrap on the wounds and tie bandage.
Swamp Pea for Weak Eye Sight
Extract juice of the flowers. Use as Eye drops.
Do not touch the juice to avoid infection.
Use the juice of flowers and leaves of Swamp Pea as nasal drops.
Or : Mix leaf juice of Swamp Pea with Honey. Use as nasal drops.
Soak some pieces of the root bark of Swamp Pea in water contained in an earthen pot. Drink this water frequently.
Mix One tablespoon Honey in 5 tablespoons of Swamp Pea leaf juice. Apply on the head. It is quite useful for Dropsy
Chew 2-3 leaves of Swamp Pea daily. It helps in removal of Intestinal Worms.
Swamp Pea as Nasal Drop
Use 2 drops leaf juice of Swamp Pea as Nasal Drop. It cures various diseases.
Make a decoction with bark of Swamp Pea. Take 2 tsp of it once a day.
