I have started eating jaggery from last 10 days and today when I researched about its daily consumption, I got to know that prolong consumption can lead to intestinal worms. May I know the reason behind the intestinal worms side-effect? Is it related to preparation method? Which Jaggery is better? Brown or Yellow? I get jaggery from kiranas and I can often see black particles in the jaggery. Can I consume jaggery after heating it up? So that it kills all the germs.
Also, what's the optimum quantity to be eaten daily? And from where can I get good quality jaggery?

Kanchan. Consuming too much Jagger and for long duration may cause intestinal worms. 5 to 10 gms can be taken daily. To expel the worms. Mix carom seeds powder and black salt in 3 : 1 ratio and consume about 2 gm of this mixture with warm water before bed time. Wormseed is widely used for expelling hookworms, tapeworms, and roundworms. Wormseed tea can be taken daily. No, do not heat it up.
The brown jaggery is the best.
