Description
Anal Fistula is a disease of the Skin around the Anus.
The recurrence of Anal Abscess gives rise to Anal Fistula.
The Anus is an external opening of the Gastrointestinal Tract. It is present at the end of the Rectum and exits the Body. It expels the feces from the body. The Skin that surrounds the Anus contains number of small glands. These Glands help to moisten the Rectum by secreting the fluid. This helps to pass the feces easily. However, any infection may cause blockage in these glands which gives rise to Anal Fistulas. The abscess is formed between the Anal Glands and the Skin. It contains pus and causes pain when the pus drains out of the Abscess.
