Amino Acids
Definition

What does Amino Acids do for the body

Almost twenty percent of the Human Body is made up of Protein. Proteins are made up of Amino Acids. Amino Acid helps the cells to maintain their structure. It controls the body's water and pH level. It repairs the bones and gives energy to the body. Amino Acid enhances the communication of the Brain with the body nerve cells.
They are categorized into two groups :
Essential
Non Essential

Essential Amino Acids cannot be made by the body itself, so it has to be supplied by food. It helps in the production of the cells and gives strength to the body.

Types of Essential Amino Acids :
Histidine
Isoleucine
Leucine
Lysine
Methionine
Phenylalanine
Threonine
Tryptophan
Valine

Leucine : It stimulates the Muscle strength and its growth. It helps to regulate the blood sugar and prevents depression.
Isoleucin helps to produce energy and hemoglobin in the body. It plays the vital role in the growth of Nitrogen within the muscle cells, especially in children.
Lysine is responsible for the growth and production of Carnitine in the body. Carnitine converts the Fatty Acids into a fuel to lower the Cholesterol. It helps the body to absorb Calcium which makes the bones stronger.
Methionine contains Sulfur. Sulfur is an essential mineral which helps in the production of Bone Cartilage. It makes the bones stronger and increases the cellular energy.
Phenylalanine helps to make the muscle cells, brain chemicals and balances the Thyroid hormones.
Threonine boosts the immune and nervous system of the body. It repairs the bones and joints. It helps to prevent the Fatty Acid build up and Liver failure.
Tryophan is responsible for healthy nervous system and Bain health. It inhibits Stress and induces Sleep.
Valine helps in building muscles and repairs the bones.
Histidine acts as a neurotransmitter and maintains healthy functioning of the Brain. It helps to detoxifies the body and maintains the overall health.

Non Essential Amino Acids are synthesized by the body itself. These Amino Acids are important for proper Brain function and helps to detoxify the body.

Non Essential Amino Acids :
Alanine
Asparagine
Aspartic Acid
Cystine
Glutamine
Glutathione
Glycine
Proline
Serine
Taurine
Threonine

Alanine detoxifies the liver and helps to keep the Cholesterol at normal level.
Asparagine nourishes the nervous system and regulates the metabolism.
Aspartic Acid gives relief from Fatigue and depression. It acts as a synthesizer and boosts the immune system.
Cystine is a powerful Antioxidant and helps to strengthen the connective joint tissues. It detoxifies the body and restores the elasticity of the Skin.
Glutamine supports the proper Brain function and boosts the metabolism.
Glutathione has Anti aging properties which keeps the Skin healthy and free from wrinkles. It lowers the Blood Pressure and improves the Sperm Count in men. Glutathione is also used to treat Cancer.
Glycine is essential for the growth of muscle cells and its functions. It supports the digestive system and has healing properties.
Proline helps in the regeneration of new healthy cells. It restores the Skin elasticity and reduces Wrinkles.
Serine is essential for proper Brain functioning. It gives relief from Stress and gives stability to the Mind.
Taurine travel through the Bloodstream and detoxifies the body. It improves the Brain function and digestive system of the body.
Threonine reduces the Stress and helps to form Tooth Enamel. It stabilizes the Blood Sugar level and assists in proper Liver function.

Benefits of Amino Acid
Collagen and Elasten produced by Amino Acid reduces Skin Sagging and Wrinkles. Amino Acid helps to strengthen the connective tissue and build up the muscles. It makes the nails stronger and shiner. Amino Acid boosts the metabolism and helps in the development of Central Nervous System. It gives relief from Stress and Depression.

Effects of deficiency of Amino Acid in the body
Lack of Amino Acid causes Fatigue and Stress. Its deficiency results into decrease in the Energy of the body and Mind Alertness. Amino Acid deficiency may cause Dull Skin and Weakness of the body.

Symptom of Amino Acid Deficiency
Weak Immune System
Fatigue
Dizziness
Water Retention

Excessive Amino Acid
Excessive Amino Acid makes it difficult for the Kidneys to function properly. It increases the level of Urea and Ammonia which leads to Chronic Kidney Diseases. Amino Acid when taken in large amount may cause Indigestion and Diarrhea.
