Description
Chia is a Plant.
It is annual.
It grows up to One Meter.
Its leaves 4 to 8 cm long and 3 to 5 cm wide. Its flowers are purple or white.
It is cultivated for its seeds. Chia seeds are small ovals with a diameter of about 1 mm. They may be brown, grey, black, red or white.
White seeds are the best. Next in preference come black seeds. Red seeds are not good.
Chia is the common name. Salvia Hispanica, and Salvia columbariae, both verities are called Chia. It belongs to the mint family.
Seeds are what we want from the Chia plant. The seeds are rich in Omega 3 fatty acids and
a linolenic acid (ALA).
Note 1. Looks Chia Seeds and Basil Seeds look alike, but their medicinal properties are different. But they can both beat the heat.

Take one teaspoon Chia ( Tukh Malanga ) Seeds. Dip in 1/4 glass of water for one hour. Apply on the affected part and bandage. Keep it over night. Next morning, open the bandage and wash with lukewarm water. Repeat it 3 or 4 times.

Add Chia ( Tukh Malanga ) Seeds to your breakfast cereals.
Soak 2 teaspoons of Chai Seeds in one cup of water overnight. The next morning, drink the water and chew the seeds on an empty stomach.
