@Christopher...If you live in North America, the local Native Americans used to use a plant called WILD LETTUCE, or OPIUM LETTUCE. It has no opium or any other opioids in it, but they say it relieves pain very well. It grows all over, and you can find pics on the net, and instructions for smoking it, or making tea. You probably have it growing wild in your backyard or neighborhood somewhere. Good luck with finding some. Just dry out the leafs. BTW, I also have a messed up spine from auto accidents, and the pain never goes away. All I can do is alleviate it.

actually Lactuca Virosa (wild lettuce) sucks.... it works barely once then never again, body gets used to it and never again works basically it seems... one of those silly fad plants talked about, but if it DID work, it would be more popular

I started taking a product Conolidine1 for pain relief made up of: TD extract, D-limonene, food grade ethyl alcohol, purified water, natural orange concentrate. I took the recommended dose: 1,000 mg. and could to be repeated 4-6 hrs apart. The pain relief I got was great. The second time I got the worse lower intestine pain it was almost unbearable and lasted a couple of hrs. I tried everything that worked before for similar condition to no avail. Then I remembered taking D-limonene and got just as sick. I suffer from R.A. osteoarthritis and arthritis, tinnitus, degenerated discs, digestion problems, depression, bipolar, anxiety, calcification in 4 or 5 bones due to fractures from accidents. The pain is most constant and need relief regularly hence the Conolidine 1. I have taken so many prescription drugs, NSAIDs, I don't think I can afford to take anymore. Could taking the TD give me the relief I need but without the D-limonene disaster? And what form is it taken in?

What a pathetic cop out. Many people switch from drugs to herbs. To suggest that you can't help someone because they were taking allopathic drugs makes me seriously doubt your expertise and your ethics.
