Palpitation is a disease of the Heart.
The heart beats in a rhythmic periodicity. The normal rate at which a heart beats is 72 times per minute.
Palpitations are rapid, thumping or fluttering feeling in the chest. There may be irregularity or skipping of the Heart Beat but, the rate of the Heart Beat remains higher than normal.
Palpitations can be felt in your chest, throat, or neck. Palpitations can be frightening, but are usually harmless and short lived.
Note Do not get confused with Palpitation and
Tachycardia. Palpitations are increased rate of the Heart Beat, and it lasts for a short time, whereas Tachycardia is a constantly raised heartbeat but, it lasts for a longer period.

Hyperthyroidism
Low level of oxygen in your blood
