Guarana is a safe herb if taken for a short time in a suggested dose.
When it is taken in high doses, it may have adverse side effects, minor as well as major.
As it contains caffeine, it affects the Nervous system that causes Anxiety, Insomnia, Restlessness, Agitation, Tinnitus ( ringing in ears ) and Tremors.

It causes stomach problems, Cramps, Nausea, Vomiting and Headache.
Diarrhea: Large doses of Guarana may cause Diarrhea and irritable Bowel Syndrome, so always take the suggested dose. It may increase the symptoms.

High Blood Pressure and Heart Disease : High doses may affect your heart and blood pressure. It may increase the heart rate hand raises the blood pressure than normal. People with Heart problems and Blood pressure problem, should avoid, Guarana.

Bleeding Disorders : Before taking Guarana, make sure that you don’t have any bleeding disorder, if have then please avoid the consumption. It may make the things worse.

Glaucoma: Effects of high doses may increase the pressure inside the Eyes. This will give rise to a condition known as Glaucoma.

Diabetes: Taking high doses of Guarana may interfere your sugar levels. It may cause complications for those, who are having Diabetes.

Osteoporosis: As mentioned above, Guarana contains caffeine. It may deplete the calcium from bones and make them weak. As a result, it develops Osteoporosis. People with osteoporosis should avoid taking Guarana.

Caution :
Avoid during Pregnancy, Breast Feeding: It is advised to pregnant women and nursing mothers, to take this cautiously. It may cause birth defects in your baby and increases the risk of Miscarriages.

I saw the combine list and noticed Rhodiola . Can Guarana also combine with Eleuthero ?? I have some of that but no Rhodiola .
