Materia Medica for Hangover
Single Herb Aloe Vera ( Gheekumari in India ) contains Aloin which eases the effects of Hangover. It reduces the problems like dried mouth, dehydration and headache. It relaxes the Nerves and prevents the conversion of alcohol into harmful substances.
Take 1/2 cup of Aloe Vera juice before Alcohol consumption to avoid Hangover.
Alcohol reduces the potassium deposits in the body. Banana ( Kela in India ) is a rich source of Potassium. It is helpful in restoring the lost Potassium in the body. It rehydrates the body and eases the condition during a Hangover.
Have a Banana before you go to sleep. You can even add a banana to your breakfast the next morning.
Eat 8-10 Almonds before drinking.
Infuse the leaves of Wasabi in bath water. It removes the toxin through skin.
Lemon ( Nimbo in India ) balances the pH level. It contains citric acid which alkalizes the acidic environment in the body. It provides relief from Muscular Pain, Headache and Dizziness from Hangover.
Take a glass of lukewarm water. Add 2 teaspoons of Lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of Honey in it. Stir well and drink. Drink it 2 to 3 times a day
OR : Cut a fresh Lemon into small slices. Take one slice and lick it. Do this 2 to 3 times a day.
Drinking Chamomile tea helps in relieving Hangover.
Add 10 to 15 drops of Milk Thistle liquid extract in a glass of water. Drink it 20 to 30 minutes before drinking alcohol. It speeds up the recovery from Hangover symptoms. Milk Thistle contains Silymarin. It is a powerful antioxidant which protects the Liver from oxidative damage. It detoxifies the Liver by making the alcohol move out of the system.
Boil One tablespoon powdered root in a cup of water.
Drink twice a day.
Eat a few slices of Cucumber ( Kheera ) before going to bed and wake up refreshed next morning.

Add 10 to 15 fresh Basil leaves in 2 cups of water. Boil 10 to 15 minutes on low flame. Strain. Drink it two times a day.
Peppermint ( Vilayati Pudina in India ) soothes the irritated lining of the Stomach and reduces the effect of Hangover like Nausea and Vomiting due to intake of Alcohol.
Take 10 to 12 Peppermint leaves. Boil them in one and a half cup of water for 5 to 10 minutes. Strain and drink the tea. Have it 2 to 3 times a day.
OR : Chew some fresh Peppermint leaves to relive the symptoms of Hangover.
Juniper Essential Oil detoxifies the body and reduces the Pain due to Hangover. It helps to refresh the Mind and body.
Combine 3 drops of Juniper Essential Oil with a tablespoon of any Carrier Oil. Gently rub it to the bottom of the feet for 15 to 20 minutes.
