Anxiety General
If a human being is exposed to certain circumstances, then it is normal to be anxious, as it is considered as the human nature. But if the circumstances are in his favor still he feels anxiousness and fear then it is considered as the diseased state. It is termed as Anxiety; the fear for unknown reasons. It is a result of Environmental, Physiological and biological factors.
Anxiety disorders are classified according to the severity and duration of their symptoms and specific behavioral characteristics. Types of anxiety disorders include:
• Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD)
• Panic disorder
• Phobias
• Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
• Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
• Separation anxiety disorder (which is almost always seen in children)
Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) : This is a common type of Anxiety. It is associated with mood disorders and Muscles tension. People with this type of Anxiety may experience gastrointestinal problems and is accompanied with Depression.
Panic Disorder: It is followed by repeated panic attacks that disrupt the normal body functions. It causes Shortness of Breath, Palpitation and Pain in the Chest. A person may experience Nausea, Dizziness and Hot flashes also. After the panic attacks the person may feel excessive sweating and a fear of going insane. The panic attacks may occur every week or every month. The attacks may be spontaneous or situational.
Phobic Disorders: It is an abnormal fear that may be related to anything like Places, Animals, Water, and Height or may more things. It affects a person’s personality and his behavior. There are numerous types of Phobias that are related to one thing or the other.
Specific Phobia: Phobia from an object or a situation. This may be from Animals, Natural environment, Particular Situation and from Medical Emergency.
Social Phobia: Phobia of being social. In this a person has fear of interacting with people and performing task in front of a crowd.
Agoraphobia : Fear of open or public places.
Claustrophobia : It is an abnormal fear of being confined in a room and you are unable to escape. But in reality it is not like that. It causes Anxiety and lack of oxygen.
Aerophobia : Phobia of flying in Air crafts.
Zoophobia : As the name indicates it is a phobia of Animals.
Aichmophobia : If you are afraid of sharp objects like needles or knives, the you are having Aichmophobia.
Arachnophobia : Phobia of spiders or Scorpios is Arachnophobia.
Ophidiophobia : Fear of snakes.
Acrophobia or Altophobia: Fear of height is Acrophobia
Mysophobia : It is a phobia of contamination or germs.
Dentophobia : Fear of dentist.
Its Symptoms are
Dry Mouth
Anxiety
Tremor
Shortness of Breath
Palpitation
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder: The repeated episodes of unwanted thoughts are Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Obsessions are repetitive or continuous physiological images or ideas. The obsessive thoughts may include worries which may be illogical, weird or it might be haunting visions of behaving aggressively with his loved ones.
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder: The psychological disorder that occurs after a trauma. In this, a person may have witnessed or experienced some traumatic incidents. It is associated with traumatic events and affects the behavior of the person. The incident may be Earthquakes, Violent events, natural disasters, death of some loved ones or sexual harassment. In children, it may lead to violent or aggressive behavior. It affects the personality and a person is not able to do his daily tasks.

Flashback of memory associated with past
The chronic stress may develop PST. It may cause damage to the brain and other physical disorders.
Separation Anxiety Disorder: It is common in children. It is associated with home sickness and is usually suspected in children living away from their family members. If your child is refusing to go to school, then it may be a symptom of SAD. In this your child may complain about headache or stomach pain. Thoughts of being kidnapped or demise of loved ones may bother him always. The chronic SAD may develop Phobia gradually with development of the Child.
Causes of Anxiety:
Brain Disorders: The brain controls all activities of the body. It coordinates the emotions, Feelings, memory, fear and Thoughts of a person. The dysfunction of the brain may affect the regular life of the person. It may lead to anxiety.

Relation of Anxiety with other body parts.
Heart Diseases: The Heart problems like High Cholesterol, High Blood Pressure may be associated with Anxiety. Apart from this the other body illness such as Obesity, Respiratory Problems, Headache, Allergic Reactions or Gastrointestinal Disorder may contribute to develop Anxiety.
If it is not treated properly, PSD may cause
Insomnia
Depression
Bipolar disorder
Digestive problem
Single Herb In one cup of boiling water steep one tablespoon of fresh leaves of Passionflower for 7-10 minutes. Drink it two times a day.
Prepare a tea of dried herb. Drink thrice a day.
Or : Have extract twice a day.
Else :Take l-4 ml of the tincture 3 times a day.
Prepare an Infusion of dried herb or 4-6 fresh leaves. Drink twice a day.
Or : Prepare a tincture. Drink 3 times a day.
Chew some Fennel seeds.
Prepare an infusion of the dried herb. Drink thrice a day.
OR: Have extract twice a day.
Prepare a tea. Add honey. Drink twice a day.
Prepare root decoction. Drink once a day.
Or : Have root extract. Have once a day.
Caution : Avoid high dosage. It may lead to toxicity.
Cypripedium Pubescens For Anxiety
Soak a small piece of Cypripedium Pubescens root in 2 cups of cold water for 2 hours. Now boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Filter and boil again until it is reduced to half. Bottle and store in refrigerator. Take One tablespoon mixed in One glass of water twice daily.
OR Take One tablespoon in warm water at night.
Do not keep this preparation more than 3 days.
Take a cup of Spikenard ( Jatamasi ) root decoction, three times a day.
Boil One tablespoon dried Skullcap in a cup of water for 20-25 minutes. Cool and drink at least thrice a day.
Simmer 2 tablespoons of the pounded seed meal in 2 cups of water till the water is reduced to half . Take this thrice a day in small doses.
Soak 2 tablespoons Valerian (Tagara ) root in One cup of water for 24 hours. Strain and take half to One cup before retiring.
Green Tea ( Chai ) for Anxiety
Boil half teaspoon Green Tea ( Chai ) in one cup of water. Take it once a day.
Have a cup of Humulus Lupulus ( Hop ) tea at bed time.
Chinese Knotweed has Antianxiety property. Thus, it aids the person suffering from anxiety.
Take half a teaspoon of dried powdered Chinese Knotweed. Boil in half a cup of water. Consume it.
Put 2 drops of Nutmeg ( Jaiphal ) oil on your Wrist and rub. Inhale the smell.
Boil half teaspoon powdered Liquorice ( Mulethi ) in a glass of water until it remains half. Strain. Drink it twice a day.
Ravensara Essential Oil contains calming effects. It is good to treat Anxiety.
Put few drops of Ravensara Essential Oil in your bathing water.
Orange Essential Oil uplifts the mood and soothes the body. The Antianxiety property helps to calm the Mind and treats Anxiety.
Add 3 to 4 drops of Orange Essential Oil in the diffuser.
OR : Add 2 to 3 drops of Orange Essential Oil in 1 to 2 teaspoon of any Carrier Oil ( Almond Oil ). Mix well. Apply 3 to 4 drops this Oil blend on the forehead. Gently massage.
Jasmine Essential Oil has strong Antianxiety and Calming properties. These properties help to calm the Mind and release stress. This helps to treat Anxiety.
Add 8 to 9 drops of Jasmine Essential Oil in the diffuser.
Prepare the powder of the roots of Chicory. Mix it with milk and drink it two times a day.
Add crushed pieces of Angelica roots in 100 ml hot boiling water. Boil and simmer it for 10 minutes. Drink this decoction twice a day regularly to reduce symptoms of Anxiety.
Steep 1 teaspoon Magnolia Bark powder in 150 ml of water. Strain it off. Drink this infusion at night before sleep.
Take Brahmi Essential Oil and add 4-5 drops of this oil in a small bowl filled with boiling water. Inhale the steam for 15-20 minutes daily.
Baking Soda For Anxiety
Take 2 to 3 cups of Baking Soda, add Ginger powder of same quantity. Mix them well and add it to warm bathing water. Sit for 15 to 20 min. It helps in reducing Anxiety and provides a calming effect.
Have a cup of Avena Sativa ( Oat Straw ) tea every morning and evening. It contains srotonin, which acts as a neurotransmitter and also balances the mood. It reduces the levels of stress and induces sleep.
Valerian Essential Oil stabilizes the mood and emotions thus relaxing the mind. Diffuse this oil in your home.
Marjoram Essential Oil calm the nerves, thus, stabilizes the mood. Diffuse this oil in your home or to the area where you spend most of the time.
Clary Sage Essential Oil help to alleviate Nervousness. Diffuse Clary Sage Essential Oil in your home or in the area where you spend most of the time.
OR :
Take one tablespoon of sea salt and add 16 drops of Clary Sage Essential Oil in it. Mix them well. Inhale its scent. Repeat the process as needed to get relief.

Drink before retiring for a sound sleep.
You can also add 8-10 drops of Skullcap tincture for better results.
Herbal Treatment For Anxiety 2
Take the following herbs on equal quantity :
Sage Dried and Powdered
Basil ( Tulsi in India ) Leaves Dried and Powdered
Rosemary ( Rusmary in India ) Dried and Powdered
Thyme ( Ajavayan in India ) Powdered
Ginger ( Adrak in India ) Dried and Powdered
Mix all ingredients. Have half teaspoon with milk at night daily.
Herbal Treatment For Anxiety 3
Take half glass of Orange juice. Add a pinch of Nutmeg Powder and half tablespoon of Honey. Take it 2 times in a day.
Herbal Treatment For Anxiety 4
Soak 8 to 10 Almonds in water overnight. The next morning, peel off the skin and grind them to make a paste. Add 1 teaspoon of Nutmeg powder and a pinch of Ginger Powder in it. Consume it.
