Side Effects, Risk Factors of, and Cautions for American Ginseng

It may cause Headache,Restlessness, Anxiety, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Nose Bleed, Breast Pain, Vaginal Bleeding and Insomnia.
Do not use with Stimulants.
Avoid the usage in Pregnancy and Breast Feeding. It may cause birth defects in your child. Consumption not recommended in case of High Blood Pressure and if taking anticoagulant medications. .
Ginseng may be platelet inhibitory.
It is incompatible with Veratrum Nigrum.
Drug Interactions:
Diabetes: If taking medications for diabetic, be cautious while taking American Ginseng, as it is very effective and may lower the blood sugar below normal levels. You may reduce the diabetic medications and then continue with American Ginseng.
If you are taking blood thinning medicines, consult your doctor before consuming American Ginseng.
Do not take it with any Antidepressant medications as it may increase the risk of side effects.
It increases the effects of psychiatric disorders. Avoid to consume with Antipsychotic medications.

High doses may interrupt the mental health and cause Mental disorders like Schizophrenia. It may disturb your sleep and cause Insomnia.
Complications may arise during Surgery. Stop intake of Ginseng at least seven days before a Surgery.
Women suffering from Breast Cancer and other hormone sensitive conditions should avoid its consumption.

Ginseng American for Alzehimer

Prepare a decoction made from the roots of Ginseng. Have one cup two times a day

Ginseng American for High Cholesterol

Crush few leaves of Ginseng American. Make its decoction. Drink 25 ml once a day.

Ginseng American for Low Blood Pressure

Drink a cup of Ginseng American leaf tea once a day.

Ginseng American for Debility

Take 2-3 cups of water in a pan. Simmer One sliced Ginseng American root in it for 15 minutes. Filter and add One teaspoon Honey ( Shehad ) for taste. Let it cool and drink twice a day.

20 g Dandelion root, 25 g Skullcap root, 30 g dried plant of Purslane, 15 g Pinellia roots, 20 g dried Indigo plant, 30 g American Ginseng root, 20 g Cinnamon twig, 30 g Bupleurum root, 20 g dried plant of Thlaspi Arvense and 40 g Liquorice root. Grind them to make powder. Add water in the required amount of the powder to make paste. Apply it over external Herpes.

I have heard that this Wild American Ginseng is cool. I mean really cool, as in it is best for the coming summer. As per the Chinese the effect on the body is cooling. It is better than the Chinese or Korean Ginseng for hot blooded people who feel more hot than others in the same weather.

I normally take this herb, so I want to confirm.

Yes American Ginseng is a cooling herb. It may be beneficial to take this herb in summers boiling cause of its properties.
