Nervine herbs are those herbs which strengthen, stimulate and calm the Nervous System.
Intake of these herbs may relax your body. These are also known as Nerve Tonic. Few herbs produce sedative effects.

Bitter Orange ( Narangi ) as a Nervine
Soak the dried flowers of Bitter Orange ( Narangi ) in a cup of water overnight. Strain and drink next morning.
Sweet Flag as Nervine
Consume 1 mg rhizome powder of Sweet Flag daily. It helps in strengthening our Nervous System.
NOTE : More then 1 g consumption leads to Vomiting.
Cynodon Dactylon as Nervine
Regular intake of Cynodon Dactylon juice helps in increasing the strength of Nervous System.
Vitex Trifolia as Nervine
Powder the fruit of Vitex Trifolia. Add some Honey in it to make thick paste. Take 3 ml of it daily.
Betel ( Pan ) as Nervine
Mix 1 teaspoon each of Betel leaf juice and Honey. Consume it 2 times a day.
Indian Pennywort for Nervous Disorder
Indian Pennywort has nerves rejuvenating property. Thus, it helps to rectifies most of the Nervous Disorders. These includes Nervous Debility, Nervous Tension and others.
Chew 2 fresh leaves of Indian Pennywort daily. It calms down the nerves and takes them out of the problem.
OR : Dry Indian Pennywort leaves in the shade. Powder them. Have half a teaspoon with milk or water at bed time.
Asparagus Racemosus as Nervine
Take 3 to 4 gram of powdered Asparagus Racemosus, and orally consume it with lukewarm milk once a day. It will stimulate calm and strengthen your Nervous System.
Eclipta Alba ( Bhringraj ) as Nervine
Mix one cup of Eclipta Alba leaves, one cup of Cow Ghee, 10 grams of Embelia berry powder and 10 grams of Liquorice powder. Boil it for 30 minutes. Let it cool and then filter it. Massage with this oil over your body daily.
It will make nerves strong and improves blood circulation thus avoiding numbness.
