Will you please share that why do you even wish to take Brahmi ?
I mean is there any problem that you wish to set right ? Brahmi is a nervine( pertains to the nervous system ) herb. During pregnancy, it is usually not safe. I think the same is mentioned above in the "side effects" section of this herb. Not to be taken during pregnancy. Kindly scroll up.

You may take Extract of Basil. Add one drop of this extract to a glass of milk. Drink it every day.
Add 2 drops of Rosemary essential oil to a cotton ball. Inhale the scent.
You may also take Indian Pennywort capsules every day for a month.
Stop the intake of carbonated drinks completely.

Yes, the herb is used as a tonic for Liver. This is true.
The side effect of using the herb for a long time and in excess is that it may cause Liver Disease or comma. So, both the statements are correct.
The first one is the benefit of the herb when taken in appropriate amount.
The second statement is the side effect caused, when you take this herb beyond the normal dosage or amount.

Also have 5 Basil leaves after every meals.
