Marfan Syndrome is a disease of the Skin.
The genetic disorder that affects the elasticity of the connective tissues is Marfan Syndrome. The connective tissues lack the strength due to their abnormal composition. It may be hereditary.
In this, the body becomes thin, tall and a person will have disproportionately long extremities. It also affects the Blood vessels, Muscles, Heart, Skin, Eyes and the other body parts.
Cause of Marfan Syndrome
Normally, the Body produces a protein that gives elasticity to the connective tissues. It gives strength to the tissues. However, if there is mutation in the Gene, it will cause abnormality in the Body structure.
If not treated properly, Marfan Syndrome may cause
Eye Problems
Heart Problems
Skeletal Problems
