Description

Callus is a disease of the Skin.
The repeated pressure and friction on the Skin makes the soft Tissues, thick and hard. It is known as Callus. They cause Pain and difficulty in walking, if it occurs on the Feet. They are yellow in color and may develop on the Palms, Heels and Knuckles too.
When the Skin is rubbed against something, then the Tissues become hard. To protect the lower layer of the Skin, Callus develops.

Diabetic patients are more at risk of developing Callus.

Note : Differentiate between Callus and Corns. Corn causes discomfort and pain, when pressed. It causes difficulty while walking. Whereas, Callus are not always painful. They are bigger than Corns.

Materia Medica for Callus

Single Herb

Chamomile for Callus

Prepare a Chamomile tea by adding 1 teaspoon of dried Chamomile flowers in a cup of water. Boil it. Simmer for 10 minutes. Take 1 litre of water in a small tub and add Chamomile tea in it. Soak your feet in it for 10 minutes before going to bed.

Sea Salt for Callus

Take 1 tablespoon each of Sea Salt and Olive Oil. Mix them well and keep it aside. In the meantime, soak your feet in lukewarm water for 10 minutes. Gently massage your feet with the mixture for 10 minutes. Wash off with warm water and apply moisturizing cream over your feet. Do this daily before going to bed.

Onion for Callus

Cut a thin slice of Onion. Put Lemon juice and Common salt on the slice. Apply over the affected area and wrap it with a cellotape. Leave it overnight. Do this daily for a week.

Castor Oil for Callus

Soak your feet in lukewarm water for 15 minutes and scrub the affected area with a pumice stone. Apply Castor Oil over your feet and wrap it. Do this daily before going to bed.

Epsom Salt for Callus

Take 1 litre of warm water and add 2 tablespoons of Epsom Salt in it. Mix well and soak your feet in it for 15 minutes. Scrub your feet with a pumice stone. Wash with fresh water and apply moisturizing cream over your feet. Do this daily before going to bed.

Apple Cider Vinegar for Callus

Soak a cotton ball in Apple Cider Vinegar and apply over your feet. Wrap the soaked cotton balls using a tape. Leave it overnight. The next morning, scrub the affected area with a pumice stone and apply Olive Oil on it. Do this daily.

Baking Soda for Callus

Take 1 litre of water in a small tub and add 2 tablespoons of Baking Soda in it. Mix well and soak your feet in it for 15 minutes. Scrub your feet with a pumice stone. Wash with fresh water. Do this daily.

Lemon for Callus

Place a small piece of Lemon peel over the affected area and wrap it with a tape. Leave it overnight. Repeat the process daily.

Vinegar for Callus

Soak a slice of Bread in half cup of White Distilled Vinegar. In the Meantime, soak your feet in the lukewarm water for 10 minutes. Wrap the soaked slice of bread over the affected area with a tape. Leave it overnight. The next morning, wash off with fresh water and apply moisturizing cream over your feet. Do this daily.

Asafoetida ( Hing ) for Callus

Take Asafoetida leaves and crush them to make a paste. Apply this paste over the affected areas.

Liquorice for Callus

Take half teaspoon of Olive Oil and three small Liquorice sticks. Grind them to make a paste. Apply this paste on the affected areas.

Can diabetes person use Liquorice as a Tea..?

Hey Simiyon, Liquorice tea is not that effective in treating Diabetes. Probably its not good for diabetic people as far i have read. Follow the link dear, you may get better cures for Diabetes. I have also checked it through.
