Description
Impetigo is a disease of the Skin.
The bacterial infection causes yellow crusty sores on the Skin is Impetigo.
It is a superficial infection of the skin. It is caused by Staphylococcus (staph) and Streptococcus (strep) bacteria.
It is highly contagious. Initially the sores occur around the Mouth and Nose and later spread to other parts of the Body.
Bullous Impetigo causes Blisters.
Ecthyma is an advanced stage of Impetigo that affects the Skin Deep inside. It causes ulcers.
