Description
Keratosis is a disease of the Skin.
The abnormal growth of Keratin on the skin is called Keratosis. Keratin is a Protein found in Skin, Nails and Hair.
Keratosis is not a life threatening health disorder. It makes the skin rough and hard. It causes a number of small red goose bumps on the Thighs, Cheeks, Arms and Buttocks. It is caused by excess buildup of Keratin and over exposure to Sunlight.
Types of Keratosis
Keratosis Pilaris It causes rough, acne like goose bumps on the Skin. It may appear on the back, thighs, buttocks and top of Legs, but are common on the outer sides of the upper arms.
Actinic Keratosis The formation of a scaly path on the Skin is called Actinic Keratosis. It is a result of excessive exposure to the sun. Commonly seen on face, forearms, scalp, ears, lips and neck.
Seborrheic Keratosis The abnormal, but non-cancerous growth of the Skin is called Seborrheic Keratosis. It is oval or round in shape and looks like a wart. It may be light brown or black in color. It appears anywhere on the Skin, but more common on chest, shoulders or back.

Baking Soda For Keratosis
Take two table spoon of Baking Soda. Add a little water to make paste.
Apply this paste on the affected area. Leave it for 10 minutes. Rinse it off with cold water.
