Description

Stretch Marks is a disease of the Skin.
The red, purple or pink streaks that develop in the middle layer of the Skin are called Stretch Marks.
The human skin is elastic. It can stretch as you get fat or pregnant. But, it has limits. If the skin stretches too fast or too much, the skin will tear. These tears leave marks. Stretch marks may develop anywhere on the body. Some common areas are the stomach, hips, breasts and thighs.
Once formed they are difficult to cure. Even when the body goes back to normal, they will remain. If you do not take care during pregnancy, and they appear. Then its certain that when you get back to normal after child birth, they will still be there. When the body shrinks in old age they can be easily seen.
Of course, cosmetic surgery is there to help. However, it may be better to prevent than to cure.

Causes of Stretch Marks
Pregnancy
Rapid Weight gain
Marfan Syndrome
Genetic Disorder
Cushing's Syndrome
Adrenal Gland Disorder
Ehlers Danlos Syndrome
Body building exercises

If not treated properly, Stretch Marks may cause
Embarrassment

Your best bet is to prevent. Cure is difficult. Take care as you expand. Rub almond oil as the skin stretches. You may avoid them. Husbands be advised. It is your duty to rub almond oil on the belly of your pregnant wife.
