Description
“ Birch” means : “ a tree whose bark is used for writing on”. It is a bitter - astringent tonic herb.
Birch is a tree. The tree is also known as the Giving Tree , for its sap, leaves, bark, shoots, twigs and buds, all the parts can be put to use for medicinal purposes.
In each and every form, the herb acts as an excellent tonic and a detoxifier.
Mainly works on the Urinary system by flushing out the toxins and thus it eliminating the excessive Uric acid as well.

Leaf tea of Birch ( Bhoj Patra ) is quite useful for Urinary Tract Infection. It can be prepared by boiling some leaves in a cup of water for 5-10 minutes. drink unsweetened.
Boil the inner bark of Birch ( Bhoj Patra ) in some water. Use this water as a mouthwash.
Birch ( Bhoj Patra ) as an Analgesic
The essential oil of Birch ( Bhoj Patra ) can be applied externally to relieve Headache, Menstrual Cramps, Abdominal Cramps, Gout, Rheumatism and other pains.
Birch ( Bhoj Patra ) for Wounds
Boil the bark in some water and use the liquid as a wash for Wounds.
