Description

Gingivitis is a disease of the Gums.
Bleeding and inflammation of the gums is Gingivitis.
Initially it is mild.
A tiny space is present between the teeth and periodontal membrane.
This space is called pocket.
When food molecules and bacteria stick to this space, it forms plaque. Plaque (an invisible, sticky layer) is the main reason for Gingivitis.
It should be treated early, because it can lead to serious gum disease. Persistent Gingivitis results into receding gums.
Gingivitis is one of the signs of weak immune system and it should not be ignored.
The best way to cure it is to brush regularly.

Materia Medica for Gingivitis

Single Herb

Areca Nut for Gingivitis

Burn 4-5 Areca Nuts and grind them. Rub the affected teeth with this powder.
OR
Buy Mother – Tincture of Areca from a Homeopathic Shop. Put 10 drops in one glass of water. Use it as a mouth wash after every meal.
OR
Burn 4-5 Areca Nuts to charcoal with Catechu Bark. Grind them and add one teaspoon of Cinnamon in it. Rub the affected teeth with this powder.

Black Plum for Gingivitis

Rinse your mouth with fresh Black Plum juice, 2 times a day.

Guava ( Amrood ) for Gingivitis

Swish the mouth with a decoction of Leaves thrice a day.

Blackberry For Gingivitis

Chew Blackberry leaves.

Clove ( Laung ) for Gingivitis

Rub Clove oil on the inflamed Gum.
Add 1 tsp Baking Soda in a glass of water. Rub your Gums using it.

Sesame Oil Pulling ( Til ka Tel ) for Gingivitis

Sesame oil is very good for Gingivitis.
The process is called Pulling.
Take two table spoons of Sesame oil in the mouth. Swish for at least 10 minutes. Ultimate aim is 20 minutes. The oil will draw out all the germs and Toxins from the affected gums and the mouth.
Spit it out.
Rinse the mouth with salt water. Salt water will reduce any swelling of the gums.
Notes
This exercise has to be done first thing in the morning on waking.
It must be done on an empty stomach. Minimum 3 hours after eating.
You must NOT rinse your mouth before doing it.
It has to be done before drinking any liquids.
Do not swallow the oil. It contains all the germs and Toxins.
Try to swish the oil between the teeth. Force it through them.
The oil will become like water and turn white like milk.
It has 'Pulled' the germs and Toxins from the infected gums.

Lemon ( Nimbo ) for Gingivitis

Lemons are rich in Vitamin C and Potassium, which keeps a good dental care.
Rub Lemon slice on your Gums for Toothache and Bleeding Gums.

Camphor for Gingivitis

Take few Camphor leaves and crush them. Add some Ghee ( Purified Butter ) in it. Apply the mixture on your gums. Use it twice a day.

Orange ( Santra ) for Gingivitis

Rub the peel of Orange over your Gums.
OR : Eat 2 Oranges daily.
Take 1 tsp powdered Black Pepper. Add a pinch of Salt in it. Rub it on your affected gums.

Banyan ( Bargad ) for Gingivitis

Boil bark of Banyan tree in a cup of water. Strain and use the liquid for gargling.

Lettuce for Gingivitis

Chew 2-3 Lettuce leaves after your meal.

Banana ( Kela ) for Teeth

Rub the inner side of Banana peel on your teeth. It helps in whitening them and also cure Gingivitis.

Acacia Nilotica ( Babool ) Bark for Gingivitis

Take a small piece of fresh Acacia Nilotica ( Babool ) Bark. Wash and chew it twice a day

Carom ( Ajvain ) for Gingivitis

Grind Carom ( Ajvain ). Take half teaspoon powder and add few drops of Mustard Oil. Massage your teeth and gums with this preparation twice a day.
Dip 5 g Commiphora Mukul ( Guggul ) in water for 3 hours. Rub it on your Teeth and Gums. Use it regularly for 10 days.

Pomelo for Gingivitis

Consumption of Pomelo fruit helps to control Bleeding gums. Have a glass of Pomelo juice.

Eucalyptus ( Safeda ) Oil for Gingivitis

Add 3 ml Eucalyptus ( Safeda ) Oil in 40 ml lukewarm water. Swish with it.

Chamomile ( Babunah ) for Gingivitis

Gargle with Chamomile ( Babunah ) tea 2-3 times a day.

Aloe Vera ( Gheekumari ) for Gingivitis

Apply Aloe Vera ( Gheekumari ) gel on gums. Swish with water after 15 minutes.

Adhatoda Vasica for Gingivitis

Take the fresh leaves of Adhatoda Vasica. Chew well to extract the juice.

Wheatgrass for Gingivitis

Grind Wheatgrass and extract out the juice. Strain and soak the pulp of Wheatgrass into the juice. Keep this soaked pulp on the affected area in the mouth or chew it. Spit out the pulp after squeezing juice from pulp. Do this procedure once a day.

Betel ( Pan ) for Gingivitis

Pour 4 Betel leaves in 2 cups of water. Boil it. Simmer for 10 minutes. Use it as a mouthwash. Do it 3-4 times a day.

Bitter Leaf for Gingivitis

Chew some fresh Bitter leaves to get rid of Gingivitis.

Cumin ( Jeera ) for Gingivitis

Grind roasted Cumin seeds with a pinch of Rock Salt. Massage with this mixture on the gums daily, two times a day.

Turmeric ( Haldi ) for Gum Diseases

Turmeric has antiinflammatory and antibacterial properties. It treats gum infections and inflammation of the Gums.
Add Turmeric powder, Salt and Mustard in equal amount ( 1 teaspoon ). Rub the mixture on Teeth and Gums for 2 to 3 minutes. Do it twice a day.
It is also good for bad breath.

Clove Essential Oil for Gingivitis

Clove Essential Oil stop bacteria in the mouth and cure dental pain and inflammation. Apply one drop of Clove Essential Oil to your thumb and rub it on your gums. Leave it for 15 minutes. Then, swish your mouth with water and spit. Do not swallow. Repeat the process once a day.

Myrrh Essential Oil for Gingivitis

Myrrh Essential Oil helps in maintaining a good dental hygiene.
Take one tablespoon of water and add three drops of Myrrh Essential Oil in it. Mix them well. Swish your mouth with this solution for 1 minute and spit. Do not swallow and eat or drink for 15 minutes after this. Repeat the process two times a day.

Tea Tree Essential Oil for Gingivitis

Take one tablespoon of Coconut Oil and add two drops of Tea Tree Essential Oil in it. Mix them well. Swish with this oil blend for 15 minutes and spit. Do not swallow. Brush your teeth and rinse with water. Repeat the process once a day in the morning.
It helps in inhibiting the bacterial growth in the mouth.

Lavender Essential Oil for Gingivitis

Lavender Essential Oil soothes Pain and kills bacteria. Brush your teeth. Then, take one tablespoon of water and add eight drops of Lavender Essential Oil in it. Mix them well. Swish with this blend for five minutes and spit. Do not swallow and eat or drink anything for 30 minutes afterward. Repeat the process once a day.

Herbal Treatment For Gingivitis 1

Take Catechu, Wild Geranium and Myrrh. Powder them. Add a little clove powder. Use it as a tooth powder.

Herbal Treatment For Gingivitis 2

Take few leaves of Bitter Gourd ( Karela in India ), Ginger ( Adrak in India ) and roots of Fig ( Anjeer in India ). Grind them to make paste. Add 1 tsp Black Pepper ( Kali Mirch in India ) powder with half tsp Salt ( Namak in India ) in it. Strain. Gargle with the liquid left.

Herbal Treatment For Teeth and Gums 1

Dry the outer skin ( rind ) of Pomegranate ( Anar ). Powder it. Add a pinch of Salt and Black Pepper powder in it. Use it with your toothpaste to brush your teeth. You may also use the powdered mixture to rub your Gums and Teeth.

Hello,
I am 32 yrs old female. Since the last 3 years I am suffering from black stains on my teeth prominently on the gum line. My dentist says its chromogenic bacteria for which there is no cure. I have to undergo tooth cleaning every 3-6 months to remove the stains since they dont come out with regular brushing. I have lost hope completely. Could you please help?

Try the following.
1. Do gentle massage with Sesame oil on your gums and also do swish with it for 1 min. 2. Take 1 glass of warm water add some salt and turmeric in it. Swish with this water every day before going to bed.
3. Clean your teeth 2 times in a day.

Try the following.
1. Take 1 tablespoon of Mustard oil and 1 teaspoon of salt on your palm. Massage your gums and teeth for 5 min. The take a glass of warm water and squeeze half a lemon in it. Swish your mouth with that water for 2 min.
2. Have Vitamin C in your daily diet, you may eat 2 oranges daily.
3. Swish your mouth every time after eating.
4. Take a banana peel and rub the inner side that means the white portion on your teeth.
Brush your teeth after having breakfast and before going to bed. Do gentle brushing and use a brush with soft bristles.
Proper dental care is must.
