Two ingredients in desmodium adacendens are hordenine and tyramine(source Phyto therapy Research , Volume 9, issue 4 pages 287-293; It can trigger migraine, headache, cause nerve cells in the brain to release the chemical norepinephrine.Tyramine can cause potential side effects such as high blood pressure, chest pain, rapid heart beat.Hordenine ia a dimethylamin alcoloid hordenine, it releases norepinephrine. The effects of hordenine are similar to other adrenergics( ephedrine, yohimbine and can cause nausea, insomnia, dizziness, anxiety, upset stomach, mood swings, rapid heart rate, hallucination.

Mark Dinunzio The ingredient of this herb which may cause side effects is Hordenine. The effects of hordenine can cause nausea, insomnia, dizziness, anxiety, upset stomach, mood swings, rapid heart rate, hallucination.

I've been using it for 12 years for Allergies AMAZING!! and the side effects for me have been reduced back pain, and a pleasant sweet taste for about 5 minutes after I drink it. Bad side effects I have never seen nor heard of. I also work at a health food store and we sell about 20-30 bottles a month and I have never heard of any negative effects in the 10 years I've dealt with it.
