I have Chronic Fatigue due to MS as well as hypothyroidism. (My thyroid was removed due to uncontrollable Graves Disease/hyperthyroidism. My body is not metabolizing the replacement hormone -neither Synthroid, which I no longer take, nor desiccated thyroid, which has helped, but my TSH is still high, proving my body just isn’t metabolizing the replacement. My doctors aren’t doing anything else right now due to COVID). I was also born with just one kidney, which is functioning, but my kidney function isn’t optimal. I take a TCM supplement for strengthening the kidneys.
My TCM practitioner friend in China highly recommended Panax Ginseng (specifically Hong Shen) and he sent me a box of extract vials. HOWEVER, he said I need to make sure it doesn’t affect any other meds I take. I am having trouble finding a list of medicines and/or other supplements that this extract could either increase or decrease The effects of. I’m currently taking a low dose of a beta blocker, a prescription antacid (PPI), Armour Dessicated Thyroid replacement and besides the TCM remedies which he’s already tailored to me and won’t be affected by ginseng, I take Kratom for pain associated with MS (PRN)
