Materia Medica for Mo Yao

Myrrh General

Myrrh is a resin. Traditionally, Myrrh is known for its Antimicrobial action. It is best used for Infected Wounds, Infections, Inflammation of Oral cavity and Leprosy. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Myrrh is known to be bitter and spicy. It is considered very effective for Heart, Liver and Spleen. It is recommended for Rheumatic, Arthritic and Circulatory problems.
Myrrh is known to lower LDL and increase HDL in the Body.
Single Herb

Myrrh for Aphthous Ulcers

Mix 250-350 mg of herb extract with warm water and swish with it 2-3 times a day.
OR : Prepare Myrrh tincture. Take 5 ml and mix it with warm water. Swish with it 2-3 times a day.
Else : Open a Myrrh capsule. Dab a little directly on the Mouth Ulcers.

Myrrh for Sore Throat

Consume 4 g Myrrh powder with lukewarm water twice a day.

Myrrh ( Gandh Ras ) for Nipple Discharge

Apply the tincture of Myrrh over the nipples.

Myrrh ( Gandh Ras ) for Gum Diseases

Take Myrrh ( Gandh Ras ) tincture and put 8-10 drops in a cup of warm water. Use as a mouth wash several times a day. It has good Antiseptic and Antibacterial properties that maintain oral hygiene

Herbal Treatment For Infections Combo1

Take Wild Indigo, Echinacea and Myrrh in equal quantity. Prepare a decoction. Take twice a day.

Herbal Treatment For Gingivitis 1

Take Catechu, Wild Geranium and Myrrh. Powder them. Add a little clove powder. Use it as a tooth powder.

Herbal Treatment For Ulcers 3

Mix Frankincense gum, Myrrh gum, Catechu resin and Ginseng Noto root powder. Apply it locally on ulcers.

Prepare Liquorice root tea. Add 2-3 drops of Myrrh oil and Aloe Vera juice. Drink once a day.

Herbal Treatment For Wounds, Bruises, Sprains and Burns 1

Take the following herbs-
4 tablespoons Myrrh ( Gandh Ras )
2 tablespoons Goldenseal ( Pit Kanad )
1 tablespoon Cayenne Pepper ( Lal Mirch )
Mix All these and put in a quarter of rubbing Alcohal. Keep it stand for a 8-10 days, shaking the mixture daily. Use it as a liniment for Wounds, Sprains, Burns, Bruises and wherever a liniment is needed.

Herbal Treatment For Sore Throat 4

Put the below mentioned herb in one glass of boiled water.
Two chopped Parsley leaves.
2-3 Clove.
One tablespoon powdered Myrrh.
1/4 tsp of powdered Goldenseal.
Strain.
Drink decoction two-three times a day.

Herbal Treatment For Cuts 4

Make a paste by adding equal amount of Myrrh and Golden seal. Apply.

Herbal Treatment For Diptheria 1

Mix one tablespoon each of the following herbs together.
Mullein
Raspberry leaves,
Agrimony,
Bayberry,
Cayenne,
Myrrh.
Prepare a decoction. Have one glass two times a day.

Herbal Treatment For Herpes 3

Take 4-5 drops of Tea Tree essential Oil and 2-3 drops of Myrrh Oil.
Mix them with half teaspoon each of St John's Wort and Liquorice Root.
Put all these ingredients in an airtight jar and place away from heat and sunlight.
Shake well and directly apply thrice a day.

Herbal Treatment For Age Spots 9

Take the following herbs :
Rosewood : Oil : 10 gram
Myrrh : Gandh Ras : Oil : 10 gram
Chamomile : Babunah : Oil : 10 gram
Orange : Santra : Oil : 10 gram
Mandarin Orange : Kinoo : Oil : 10 gram
Patchouli : Oil : 10 gram
Sage : Oil : 10 gram
Put all ingredients in a vessel. Heat for 5 minutes. Store in a glass bottle. Massage over affected area with this preparation for 10 minutes.
