Description

Black Eye is a disease of the Eye. Any injury on the Eye, Face or Head caused by blunt trauma force may cause bruising or discoloration around the Eye. The dark bruising around the affected area is caused by bleeding below the Skin under the Eye. The injury damages the small blood vessels and causes them to leak.
Unlike Bruises, Black Eye is accompanied by Swelling. In Black Eye, the Blood i.e. Hematoma gets collected in the tissues around the Eye. This leads to dark bruising and swelling around the Eye.
The facial skin around the Eye is very thin and transparent. The area is relatively loose. Any small damage around the eye causes discoloration in the affected area. In case of Black Eye, the fluid leaks from the Blood vessels and accumulates around the Eyes. Hence, causes puffy Black Eye.
