Description
Aniridia is a disease of the Eyes.
The complete or partial absence of the Iris in the Eye is Aniridia.
Iris is the colored part of the Eye. It consists of smooth muscle fibers and connective tissues.
In Aniridia, the sharpness of the vision reduces and it causes Photophobia.
There is PAX6 gene present in our body. This gene is responsible for the production of protein which helps in the early development of the Eyes. Dysfunction of this gene stops the early growth of the Eyes.
