Description

Stye is a disease of the Eyes.
An infection to the sebaceous glands of the eyelids is Stye.
Sebaceous glands secretes sebum into the hair follicles that lubricate the skin and the hair. The blockage in these glands results in the formation of pus filled abscess on the eyelid. Call it Stye. It causes inflammation and swelling of the Eyelid.

Materia Medica for Stye

Single Herb

Make Fomentation of the Sarsaparilla root over the affected area.

Tea bags for Stye

Keep the used tea bags in refrigerator. When get cold put it over the infected Eye for 5-10 minutes.
It will give a cooling effect and reduces pain.

Potato ( Aalu ) for Stye

Crush the peeled potatoes. Apply the paste over the eye for 15-20 minutes. Wash it off.

Clove ( Laung ) for Stye

Make infusion of clove. Dip a piece of cotton cloth in it. Put it over the eye for 5-10 minutes. Repeat the process 4-5 times a day.
Boil a handful of Coriander seeds in a glass of water. Cool. Strain. Dip a piece of cotton cloth in water. Put it over the eyes fro 10-15 minutes.

Onion ( Pyaz ) for Stye

Put a slice of Potato over the affected eye for 5-10 minutes.
Boil dried leaves and fruit of Bitter gourd for 10-15 minutes. Add salt to taste. Strain. Have one glass once a day.
Stye occurs due to bacterial infection. Turmeric has anti-bacterial properties. Add a pinch of Turmeric in a glass of boiling Milk. Drink
Crushed Alum ( Fitakari ). Put 2 to 3 pinches in half cup of water. Use it for washing the eye.
Put Cucumber ( Kheera ) slice over eye for 10 to 15 minutes.
Place Tomato ( Tamatar ) slice over affected eye for 15 minutes.

Catechu ( Khair ) Leaves for Stye

Boil 10 to 12 Catechu ( Khair ) Leaves in 250 ml of water. Deep a clean cotton cloth in lukewarm solution and compress over affected eye.
Take a few leaves of Parsley. Boil it for 10 minutes. Strain. Dip a clean cotton cloth or cotton ball in that water. Keep that cloth on infected Eye for 10 minutes. Repeat the process 2 - 3 times in a day. It removes the toxicity and increases the healing process.

Guava ( Amrood ) for Stye

Take a hand full of Guava Leaves. Warm it on a pan. Do not over heat it. Keep those leaves on infected Eye.
It gives relief from pain and infection.

Garlic for Stye

Garlic has antibacterial and antiinflammatory properties.
Apply fresh juice of Garlic on infected Eye. It reduces inflammation and pain.

Metals for Stye

Take any thing made of Iron or Gold. Rub that metal on the infected Eye. This also helps in reducing infection.

Chamomile for Stye

Add 1 tablespoon of dried Chamomile in boiling water. Boil for 10 minutes.
Strain and dip a clean cloth in that water. Place that cloth on infected Eye for 10 minutes.
It reduces Inflammation and Infection.

Eyebright for Stye

As the name indicates, it is used to treat Eye problems.
Take aerial parts of this herb and add to boiling water. Make an infusion. Cool it and dip a piece of cloth in it. Now keep it on infected Eye.
It is one of the popular remedy for Eye disorders. It reduces Inflammation, Infection and Swelling.

Aloe Vera for Stye

Aloe Vera contains antiinflammatory properties.
Apply Aloe Vera juice or gel on infected Eye. It will give relief and treats infection.

Goldenseal for Stye

Goldenseal has antibiotic and antiinflammatory properties.
Take dried Goldenseal and add to boiling water. Strain. Apply the solution with the help of cotton ball on the infected area.

Echinacea for Stye

It has antibiotic properties. Use the extract to reduce inflammation and pain.

Dear Sukh
I suggest you Onion. Cut onion slices and put them on your infected eye. It will cause some burning sensation but you will get relief later.
