Description
Head Injury is a disease of the Head.
Any physical injury that may cause damage to the Head is Head Injury. The injury may be minor or major depending upon the cause. The injury may cause damage to the Skull, Scalp or Brain. The injury may be open or closed.
Types of Head Injury
Closed Injury: Closed injury means an internal damage in the Head. This occurs due to a violent blow which may cause internal bleeding or damage to the Brain.
Open Injury: Any injury that breaks the outer hard skull and causes internal damage is Open Injury. In this some object may penetrate into the Head. It results into bleeding and damage to the nerve fibers of the Brain.

Violent Shaking: Shaking of Brain that causes unconsciousness for some time. The condition is termed as Concussion.
