Description
Gymnema is a climbing plant.
It is an evergreen.
It grows in a tropical climate.
It grows up to 60 Cm.
Best used for Diabetes.

Gudmar plays a significant role in curing Diabetes, both type 1 and 2.
Type 1 diabetes is a result of complete or partial absence of Beta Cells. Beta cells are present in the Pancreas. Their function is to produce a hormone called Insulin. Insulin signals the cells to take in glucose from the blood. Cells need the glucose for energy. Gymnema Sylvestre revives the Pancreas by regenerating the Beta cells.
Insulin resistance is a major problem in type 2 diabetes. Gymnema Sylvestre activates the insulin receptors. Insulin is used better by the body. Cells are able to absorb glucose for energy.
Note 1: Gudmar produces a strong antidiabetic effect. If taken with other diabetic medicines, the blood sugar levels may fall below the normal range. Don ' t be afraid seeing the blood sugar levels below normal. The solution is to discontinue or reduce the dosage of the other medicine.

Gymnema is a climbimg plant. It is associated to the Apocynaceae family and native to India and Africa. Gymnema has a long history of use in Ayurvedic medicines. The Hindi name of Gymnema is Gurmar. It means the sugar destroyer.
The first effects are not the reduction of blood sugar. The first effect is, that you will feel more energetic. If you have boils, itching or any other problem. It will be cured first. Blood sugar lowering comes later.
Gymnema Sylvetre has a three way action against Diabetes. The absorption of sugar from the intestine is reduced with Gudmar. It increases the production of insulin in the body. It regenerates the beta cells in the pancreas.
