Description
Hyperinsulinemia is a disease of the Blood.
The excess of Insulin in the Blood as a result of some metabolic disorder or condition, is known as Hyperinsulinemia.
The food we eat gets broken down and glucose is released into the Blood. Glucose is the energy body cells need for functioning. The hormone Insulin is required for transferring the Glucose from the blood stream to the cells.
Pancreas are the producer of Insulin. In ideal condition, the body signals the Pancreas to produce Insulin. When some thing goes wrong with the Metabolism, the cells receptor do not respond to the normal action of Insulin and the body fails to use Insulin properly. As a result, the glucose level rises in the blood. The Pancreas work hard and produce more and more of Insulin to match the growing level of Glucose in the blood. Ultimately, the level of Insulin builds up in the blood. In later stage the cells of Pancreas die due to overload. Hyperinsulinemia is a harbinger of Pre Diabetes and Type 2 Diabetes.
