Description
Corn Silk are the silky hair of the corn.
It is an annual.
It grows in tropical and subtropical regions.
It grows up to 3 M.
Best used for Bed Wetting, Prostate Enlarged.
In TCM :
Corn Silk Stigma : Yu Mi Xu
Meridians associated : Liver, Gall Bladder and Urinary Bladder
Single HerbPrepare a tincture of Corn Silk. Drink thrice a day.
OR : Have Corn Silk capsules.
Else : Dry them. Powder them in a grinder. Store them. Make a tea of half a tea spoon by boiling for at least five minutes. Take once a day, with or without sugar.
Make a tea of Corn Silk. Drink it once a day. It is very beneficial for Kidney related problems.
Finely chop the fresh Corn Silk ( Bhutte Ke Baal ) and then steep in hot water for 5-7 minutes.
Drink warm.
It also calms Cramps.
Corn Silk ( Bhutte Ke Baal in India ) has strong Diuretic property. This relaxes the Urinary Muscles and improves the Urine Flow. Corn Silk reduces the pain and inflammation caused due to Prostate Enlargement.
Add 5 to 6 Ears of Fresh Corn in 4 cups hot water. Boil it for 5 to 10 minutes. Strain well. Drink this tea three times a day.
Corn Silk For High Creatinine
Corn Silk increases the efficiency of Kidneys. It is diuretic in nature and eliminates body waste. This property helps in reducing the levels of Creatinine.
Drink Corn Silk tea once in a day.
Prepare a decoction, made of dried Corn Silk herb and one cup of hot water. Drink it twice daily.

Add 2 teaspoons Couchgrass, Buchu and Corn Silk ( Bhutte Ke Baal ) in a cup of water.
Slowly bring to a boil and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
Take 2-3 times a day.
Herbal Treatment For Water Retention 4
Put following herbs in a pot containing 1 liter of boiling water.
Blackberry : 1 to 2 leaves
Parsley ( Ajmoood ) : 1 bunch
Celery ( Shalari ) : ½ teaspoon
Dandelion ( Dudal ) : 1 to 2 chopped leaves
Cherry : 10 stems
Corn Silk ( Bhuttee Ke Baal ) : ½ to 1 teaspoon
Fennel Seeds ( Saunf ) : ½to 1 teaspoon
Cynodon Dactylon : ½ to 1 teaspoon
Simmer it for 15 to 20 minutes. Strain this decoction. Drink this tea thrice a day.
