Water Chestnut General

Water Chestnut is an aquatic plant. The root of the plant and fruit grows inside water while the leaves grow above the water surface. It is popularly known as Singhara in India. It is available in three colors: Green, Red, and a blend of these two colors. The edible part of the plant is its corms. Singhara is rich in Potassium. It also contains a good amount of Carbohydrate, Fiber, Vitamins, and Minerals. Singhara is Gluten-free and a good source of Energy. It contains a moderate amount of Fiber.
