Materia Medica for Hoarseness
Single Herb Take a small piece of catechu. Chew it, untill it dissolves in the mouth. Do this twice a day.
Powder the some Cubebs. Mix a pinch in a cup of hot milk and take it every night.
Make a decoction of Carom seeds. Add a pinch of Common Salt in it. Consume half cup of this decoction.
Take one tablespoon of Fennel ( Saunf ) seeds. Boil in half liter of water until it remains half. Add sugar according to taste.
Take a small piece of Liquorice ( Mulethi ). Chew it slowly. Do it twice or thrice a day.
Take dry Black Plum ( Jaamun ) Seeds. Grind them. Add Honey ( Shehad ) to make pea size pills. Chew a pill twice a day.
Take a teaspoon of dried Sage. Boil in a cup of water. Strain. Gargle with this water thrice a day.
Boil 2 teaspoons of dried Plantago in a cup of water. Strain and gargle with this water 2 to 3 times a day.
Take Egg Yolk ( Ande Ki Jardi ) of an egg. Add 2 teaspoons of Sugar. Beat until it turns white. Eat the mixture with a glass of milk.
Take 2 to 3 dried flowers of Linden Blossom. Add in a glass of milk. Boil until it remains to half. Drink it at night daily.
Take one glass of water. Add one teaspoon each of Cinnamon powder and Black Pepper powder in it. Boil it. Drink it with one teaspoon of Honey added in it.
Take one cup of water. Add 20 grams of Pomegranate skin and 2 grams of Alum in it. Boil it for 10 minutes. Gargle with this solution when lukewarm.

Boil first three ingredients in a glass of water. Add Lemon ( Nimbo ) juice and one teaspoon of Honey ( Shehad ). Have 2 tablespoons after every 4 hours.

Take 2 fresh leaves of Mint ( Pudina in India ) and a small piece of Ginger ( Adrak in India ). Chew them together once a day.

Take the following herbs :
Asafoetida : Hing : Powdered : 1 tablespoon
Brown Mustard : Lal Sarson : Seeds : Powdered : 1 tablespoon
Saffron : Kesar : Powdered : 1 tablespoon
Black Pepper : Kali Mirch : Powdered : 1 tablespoon
Put all ingredients in a bottle. Add one tablespoon of Honey ( Shehad ). Have half teaspoon mixture and suck it. Do it twice or thrice a day.
