The root and Rhizome of Yerba Mansa are used medicinally. It is also used as a Pain Killer, Disinfectant and Tonic.
A decoction of Yerba Mansa root is taken internally for Cold, Cough and Menstrual cramps. It is used used for chronic lung problems, Cystitis and Stomach ache. Dried Yerba Mansa roots stepped in water are used to treat Stomach disorders.
An Infusion of the roots acts as a Diuretic. It can be used to treat Rheumatic diseases, Gout and painful Inflammation of the Joints.
The cold leaf tea of the plant is beneficial. It is used as a wash for blisters, Insect bites, Poison ivy, Sunburn and Ringworm.
A poultice of leaves is used to treat sore muscles and aches.
The herb prevents Kidney stones. It prevents the build up of Uric Acid crystals in the Kidneys.
Yerba Mansa possesses Antiinflammatory effect. It treats Arthritis and Inflammatory diseases.

Yerba Mansa can be taken in the form of Tincture as well as Infusion.
Infusion : An infusion or decoction can be made by boiling herb in water. The solution is strained and used then.
Tincture : A tincture made from Yerba Mansa herbs is used medicinally. The tincture can also be diluted and used as a Gargle.
