Avoid using if you are Pregnant or a Nursing mother. If a nursing mother takes Coughwort tea, it may even result in infant's death. It may get mix with her breast's milk and cause Liver damage in infant.
People with High Blood Pressure and Heart Disease should avoid Coughwort.
Long term usage may cause Liver Damage, Hypertension, Kidney Problems or Liver Cancer.
Take extreme caution in case of Cough due to heat, Lung Abscesses or Blood in the Phlegm.
Excess intake may cause Irritability, Restlessness, Excitation, and increased Respiration.

To get rid of of Lungs Disorders like Cols, Cough, Congestion, Influenza take Coughwort leaves decoction daily. It will help in clearing the airways.
In smokers, the Lungs are filled with tar that decreases the efficiency of Lungs and causes Breathing Problems. Drinking Fresh leaves decoction twice a day will help with Lung congestion.

Single Herb

Coughwort for Asthma

Chew Coughwort roots.
OR : Put One tablespoon dried Coughwort flowers and leaves in a cup of boiling water.
Steep for 10-15 minutes,
Filter and drink hot before meals 2-3 times a day.

Coughwort for Skin

Boil 2 tablespoons of dried Coughwort leaves in 4 cups of water till it is reduced to half.
Use it as a warm compress for Skin diseases and Inflammation.

Coughwort for Cough & Sore Throat

Take 1 tablespoon powdered leaves of Coughwort.
Boil in 2 cups of water until the mixture remain One cup.
Apply it as a poultice on the chest and along the throat.
It relieves pain and discomfort.
