Purines are the organic compounds. They are present in every cell of the human body, as well as in a wide variety of plant or animal based foods. Purines present in the food are broken down into uric acid during digestion.

Purine deficiency damages the immune system and cause severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID). People with compromised immune system lacks all immune protection from foreign invaders such as Bacteria, Viruses, and Fungi.

The higher the level of Purines, more is the production of uric acid. This excessive uric acid is converted into crystals, that gets deposit in the joints and causes Pain and Inflammation.
