Description

Gastroparesis is a disease of the Stomach and the Intestine.
When the nerves and muscles of the stomach do not function properly and cause delayed digestion it is Gastroparesis.
It is the partial paralysis of the stomach.
The stomach muscles works slowly and become weakened.
It prevents the stomach from emptying properly.
Normally the stomach muscles contracts and push the food through the digestive tract.
But in Gastroparesis the food moves slowly through the digestive tract.

Materia Medica for Gastroparesis

Single Herb

Magnolia for Gastroparesis

Take dried Magnolia bark. Powder it. Boil one teaspoon powder in glass water. Drink lukewarm once a day.
OR : Take half teaspoon of Magnolia bark powder with lukewarm water twice a day.
OR : Prepare a decoction of 5 gram Magnolia bark with one cup water and have it once a day.

Liquorice for Gastroparesis

Take Liquorice root. Grind it. Boil half teaspoon in one cup water. Drink just before every meal thrice a day.
OR :
Prepare a decoction of 5 gram Liquorice root with one cup water and take it twice a day.
OR :
Chew a small piece 4 to 5 times a day.

Lemon balm for Gastroparesis

Drink Lemon Balm tea after taking meal twice a day.
OR : Make an infusion of leaves. Drink half cup thrice a day.

Skullcap for Gastroparesis

Prepare a decoction of Skullcap root. Take one cup three times a day after each meal.

Asafoetida ( Hing ) for Gastroparesis

Asafoetida ( Hing ) is a good digestive remedy. It curbs all digestive disorders and also expels the excess gas.
Put quarter a teaspoon of Asafoetida ( Hing ) in a glass of lukewarm water. Stir and let it dissolve completely. Have it daily.

Psyllium Husk ( Isabgol ) for Gastroparesis

Mix one tablespoon of Psyllium Husk ( Isabgol ) in a quarter glass of hot milk. Have it and drink the remaining milk.

Fenugreek ( Methi ) for Gastroparesis

Fenugreek ( Methi in India ) contains good digestive property. It makes the digestion easy and alleviates pain associated with Gastroparesis. Have a teaspoon of Fenugreek ( Methi in India ) seeds with a glass of water on an empty stomach daily for 15 days.
Note : You may continue the process, if problem persists.
Add 2 teaspoon of raw, unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar in a glass of lukewarm water. Stir well. Drink it 30 minutes before every meal.

Aloe Vera for Gastroparesis

Blend 3 tablespoons of Aloe Vera gel with 2 cups of water. Drink this juice every morning. Its laxative property aids in the proper functioning of your digestive system.

Coconut Oil for Gastroparesis

Mix 2 teaspoons of Coconut Oil to 1 cup of water. Warm this solution to help the oil melt completely in the water. Drink this solution before every meal.
Or
Mix 2 teaspoons of Coconut Oil to a cup of hot tea. Drink this tea before meals.

Ginger for Gastroparesis

Add 2 teaspoons of Ginger juice in a cup of lukewarm water. Consume this solution 30 minutes before every meal.
Or
Boil 1 cup of water. Add 4-5 Ginger slices in it. Allow it mix properly for 5 minutes on a sim heat. Add a little Lemon juice or Honey in it to improve its taste.

Peppermint for Gastroparesis

Prepare a tea by steeping 2 teaspoons of dried Peppermint leaves in a cup of hot water. Allow it to boil for 10 minutes. Strain and drink it.

Asparagus Racemosus for Gastroparesis

Extract the juice of Asparagus Racemosus roots. Mix it with equal amount of lukewarm water. Consume one teaspoon of this mixture.

Herbal Treatment For Gastroparesis 1

Take equal quantity of the following herbs:
Wild Candytuft, Angelica root, Milk Thistle fruit, Caraway fruit, liquorice root, Peppermint, Chamomile flower, Chelidonium Majus and Lemon Balm leaves. Grind them together. Take one teaspoon powder with lukewarm water once a day.
OR :
Prepare a decoction of above given herbs. Drink half cup twice a day.

Herbal Treatment For Gastroparesis 2

Boil 2 Solanum Trilobatum ( Alarka ) Leaves and 2 Black Pepper ( Kali Mirch ) together in one glass of water until it remains half. Have it one teaspoon twice a day.

Herbal Treatment For Obesity 11

Obesity means excess fat in the the body. This excess fat gives us an inferiority complex. So, we are sick in the body. And, sick in the mind.
What to do ?
If it is simple fat, eat less, and it will go away. But, if you are middle aged or a senior citizen, then you may be suffering from Gastroparesis or delayed digestion.
Herbs are your best bet. Heres how to take them.
Take 100 gms each of Carom ( Hindi Name : Ajvain ) and Fennel ( Hindi Name : Big Saunf ). Throw in 3 or 4 cloves, about 10 black peppers and half a teaspoon of Long Pepper ( Pippali in hindi ) . Keep them in the sun to dry out the moisture or roast them a little. Grind them to make powder. Take one teaspoon of this powder with a little Jaggery ( Hindi Name : Gur or shakkar ) twice a day. Take for 15 days. Give a break for a week and repeat.

Herbal Treatment For Gastroparesis 3

Roast a tablespoon of Carom ( Ajvain ) seeds. Grind them. Add quarter a teaspoon of powdered Asafoetida ( Hing ) and half a teaspoon of Black Salt ( Kala Namak ). Have half a teaspoon of prepared mixture with lukewarm water. It reduces the pain and solves the problem.

My wife has emptying stomach problem, whatever she eat immediate starting burping for more than two hours. Also she has constipation. I am giving her Dehsudhhi but she has burning after bowling.

she eat normal food without spices.

Our suggestions to your wife are as follows.
1. Avoid White Bread, White Sugar, white Rice and White Flour.
2. Eat a healthy diet of raw fruits and vegetables.
3. Eat a fiber rich diet.
4. Make a decoction of Cascara Sagrada and have it at bed time.
5. Eat Indian Gooseberry fruit every morning or drink Juice.
Follow the regimen for at least 1 month.

I have a problem of heaviness in stomach what ever i eat digest a long time after with a little constipation in the form that deification only once daily. Some times deification is complete and some time a little with no complete excretion and heaviness and fullness feeling. Also have a problem of IBS irritable bowl syndrome from 5 years.

First of all stop eating White bread, white rice, white sugar and all purpose flour.
Follow the regimen.
1. Take some green leaves of vegetables like, Carrot, Beetroot, Spinach, Celery and blend them to take out fresh Green Leaf Juice. Add some Himalayan salt in it. Have 1 glass of green Leaf juice 2 times in a day. Take it for 15 days.
2. Have 4 to 5 fresh basil leaves after every major meal.
3. Have a healthy diet and go for 10 min walk every day in the morning and evening.
Follow this regimen at least for 1 month.
