Wild Geranium General

Wild Geranium is popularly known as Cranesbill. It has Astringent and Antiseptic properties. It has high tannin content. The Astringent property of Wild Geranium causes contraction of the tissues and stops Bleeding.
The root and rhizome of Wild Geranium plant is used in herbal medicine.
The powdered form of root is used to heal Wounds and Swollen feet.
The dried and powdered rhizome is used as a remedy for Mouth Ulcers, Inflamed Gums and Sore Throat.
The fresh leaves are used to treat Insect stings and as a Mosquito repellent.

Put l-2 teaspoonfuls of the Wild Geranium rhizome in a cup of water. Boil. Simmer for l0-l5 minutes. Drink three times a day.
