Neuritis is a disease of the Nerves.
The inflammation in the Nerves is termed as Neuritis. It may cause problems like Tingling, Loss of Sensation and Paralysis.
Nerves are made up of Neurons. They are the communication medium between the Brain and the body organs. Nerves like any other body organ are likely to get diseased. When something goes wrong with the Nerves it affects the functioning of the Nerves.
Types of Neuritis
Optic Neuritis : When the problem occurs in the Optic Nerve it is termed as Optic Neuritis. Optic Nerve transmits signals between the Eye and the Brain. It causes Vision Problem.
Peripheral Neuritis : If the Neuritis is associated with multiple sclerosis and diabetes it is termed as Peripheral Neuritis. The symptoms are numbness and feeling of tingling in the Extremities.
