I have tried this mimosa flower from the tree. I made a tea and drank it, I love it and i recently read it is toxic and can kill you. Should I induce vomiting or am I ok, I feel great , extremely relaxed and my back pain is gone. I did not have any guidance when i made the tea i used 20 flowers in a quart of water. It was light green.

Dear Theresa,

The pod of Mimosa is toxic. The pod contains neurotoxic alkaloids which are poisonous in nature. Mimosa flowers are considered safe. However, we suggest prior discussion with a Healthcare Professional before use.

For backache you can try Ashwagandha ( Withania Somniforia ). It is easily available in powdered form. Take half tea spoon of Ashwagandha with warm milk daily.
Ashwagandha is hot in nature. Warm milk balances the hot nature of Ashwagandha.
