Cleome Viscosa is a stimulant. It improves the appetite.
A decoction of leaves of the plant is used as an Expectorant and Digestive stimulant. It treats Colic and Indigestion. Leaves boost fertility in Females. Chewing leaves can increase the chances of pregnancy in women.
Topical application of leaves treats Wounds and Ulcers. It gives relief to Rheumatism. It acts as a counter-irritant to treat Herpes. Juice of leaves is used to relieve Earache.
A decoction of seeds of Jakhiya is healful in treating Rheumatism, Gonorrhea, Dysentery, and Diarrhea. Excess intake of seeds can cause Flatulence and Distension of the Stomach.
It is also used as a wash for Piles.
A paste of the root of Cleomeis used externally in the topical treatment of Earaches.
