McArdle's Disease is a disease of the Skeletal System.
The abnormal accumulation of glycogen in the Skeletal System that causes weak Bones is McArdle's disease. It is an inherited disorder.

Normally, there is a Gene that produces an Enzyme known as Glycogen Phosphorylase. This Enzyme helps to break down the Glucose to Glycogen. Glycogen is stored in the form of Energy. It is stored in the Tissues and the Cells. However, it is stored in the Liver and the in the Muscles in a larger extent. When we exercise, this energy is used by the body. However, if there is a defect in the Gene, the body fails to break down the Glucose to Glycogen. If a person has one copy of defected Gene, then McArdle's Disease develops.

A diet rich in protein and glucose may help in countering it.
