Description

Osteomalacia is a disease of the Bones.

The deficiency of Vitamin D makes the Bones soft, and the condition is known as Osteomalacia.
The Bones are made up of Calcium and Phosphorus that provides a hardness to the Bones. They also contain collagen that provides flexibility to the Bones.

Normally, we get Vitamin D from the foods or it is made in the Skin when exposure to the sunlight. Vitamin D helps in regulating the Calcium and phosphate to make the bones strong. However, lack of Vitamin D causes weak bones.
The Skin, Kidneys and the Liver help in the synthesis of Vitamin D. If anything goes wrong with these organs, it may also give rose to Osteomalacia.

Cod Liver Oil for Osteomalacia

Cod liver oil contains a large quantity of Vitamins D and plays a major role in treating Osteomalacia. Drink one tablespoon of Cod Liver Oil with water daily.

Dandelion for Osteomalacia

Put Dandelion leaves into the boiling water in a jar. Then steep it for approximately 5 minutes. Stir the mixture and let it steep for another 3 minutes. Strain and drink the tea twice a day.

Avena Sativa For Osteomalacia

Add about 1 cup of dried Oat Straw ( Avena Sativa) in the boiling water. Cover the jar with a lid. Then leave the Oat Straw ( Avena Sativa) to steep for five to ten hours. Now drink 1 cup of this infusion. Repeat this procedure thrice a week.

Nettle For Osteomalacia

Put Nettle leaves in a jar. Pour hot water over the leaves and fill the jar to the top. Then cover the lid tightly. Steep the mixture for approx. 4-8 hours. Now strain the liquid and drink the Nettle infusion. It is advisable to drink take two cups of Nettle infusion daily.
