Description
Dysarthria is a disease of the Muscles.
Disorder of motor speech caused by the Brain or a Nerve Injury is Dysarthria. A person fails to control the Facial Muscles and Muscles of the Respiratory System. The Muscles fail to coordinate and the person is unable to pronounce normal speech. People may not understand his speech.

Bell’s Palsy
Lyme Disease
Cerebral Palsy
Wilson’s Disease
Muscular Deformity
Multiple Sclerosis
Huntington’s Disease
Parkinson’s Disease
If not treated properly, Dysarthria may cause
Permanent damage to the Vocal Cords
Differential Diagnosis : An illness that causes damage of the Vocal Cords and leads to partial or permanent loss of Voice. However, Dysathria causes Slurred Speech.
