Just started using Cryptolepis for Lyme and mycoplasma pneumonia. Within 15 minutes of ingesting 5 drops of tincture in water, I'm experiencing heavy dizziness. I know this herb can have a hypoglycemic effect which I also deal with. Am I just Herxing or is there a blood sugar element involved so close to ingestion?

The Herbs which have hypoglycemic action are tend to lower your sugar levels. And yes, the consequence is dizziness. So you can do one thing, reduce the dosage from 5 to 3 drops. Still if it does not suit you, then the dosage can be reduced to 1 drop. You need to experiment it on your own then adjust the dosage. Make sure you are not taking any other rugs that may lower your sugar levels

Thank you for this great website for gathered information on herbs. I found a paper on this herb (cryptolepis) that states that it is abortifacient and cytotoxic to reproductive system. Just thought you might want to add. Here ir.knust.edu.gs/bitstream/123456789/4794/kwesi boudu mensah.pdf

Thank you again.

Re write your query please, in a bit detail
For UTI-- Drink Cranberry juice everyday. 2 glasses in a day.
This will even help to cure E coli. Also, you may try stinging Nettle for the same. Dosage can only be recommended once, you explain the symptoms.

Hi,

I am taking cryptoleptis root and have been for a few months. Dealing with a severe babesia infection along with other lyme infections.

How long does it take to get rid of babesia?
This is a horrible infection!

Assuming this cure you are using is effective, 90 days is the life cycle of lyme and it's major co-infectancts. If you had only been infected less than 2 years there are medical treatments that you should have been given, even the most experienced holistic mds will prescribe doxycycline before any other treatment. If you have been infected longer than two years, you may want to consider longer term treatment may be necessary. For me, the marker is the herxheimer reaction. If my current cure (which is primarily stevia) is causing me to react with grogginess at high doses, I consider myself needing to continue with regular treatment. It's a balancing act. After I've been persistent with high doses for 90 days or more and I'm no longer reacting, then I will gradually lower my doses.

Read my post below. You should not have to rely on a herxheimer reaction. When I was sick, I wasn't sure if I was reacting to the meds or a herxheimer reaction.

Life cycle does not mean the duration of infection. They reproduce. It is hard to get rid of. He didn’t imply infection is gone after 90 days. Not the case at all.

Hi, I suffer from chronic tick born illness. My specialist is leaning towards Babesia. I am on Mepron and had to get off the azithromycin due to side effects.

Can you please recommend a herbal med that I can use in place of.

How long have you been suffering from this disease ?
I would suggest that you include garlic in your diet.
apply tea tree oil on the infected area,
Will you please share other symptoms as well ? I would like to know if the tick has been removed or not .

You should be going to someone that uses a dark-field microscope (I did). You can see the spirochetes in your blood. Especially if the red blood cells are ruptured (simple for someone knowledgeable that has the dark-field microscope). I was very fortunate in that I found a practitioner that knew what they were doing finally. If the person that you are going to has to "send off" some sample for analysis or "lets try this", you are going to the wrong person. I am well now after many years of chronic lyme. When I got it, even the alternative folks were in the dark (must be in your head type of thing).

I forgot to say that the clinic I went to is in Indiana but there are other locations. If the person that you are going to is in the dark about dark-field microscopes, Show them my post. Anyone in the medical community has the basic ability to use a microscope. And certainly there are enough pictures on the internet on what spirochetes look like. If they still will not use a microscope and help you, avoid them, they are just after your money. I certainly went to enough people that were just there to help me "enjoy" my problem.

I found a naturopath to help me diagnose Lyme in Idaho and I knew what my problem was and how to treat it before I walked out the door.. Yes, you can see it in your blood, and other stuff also. For me it was blood born parasites and candida, both of which are gone now because I knew to treat them. Some of the things they see in the blood they are not sure what it is... for instance we saw stuff attacking my red blood cells that was not Lyme but could not be sure what it was. Due to other symptoms I had I decided it was probably Bartonella and I treated with Rife for that. It's gone now. Can you tell me what city this dark field specialist is in in Indiana? I understand why you would not want to mention their name.

Help please! I started Cryptolepis Rt. and Goldenseal from Lime disease (and also he gave me Shark Liver Oil - 4 capsules a day). In the second day I felt improvements in the lumbar aria. But.. on the third day I had a heart pain. The point is I have a autoimmune disease. Could this be the reason? A pharmacist in a naturopathic pharmacy precribed a dose of 1 ts of each with the glass of water 4 times a day. In internet I founded information that this drugs increase immunity and are stimulants. Sorry for my poor English. Are there any other drugs from this disease that will not stimulate the immune system?

Saw in some research that cryotolepsis can be used against gram negative bacteria specifically proteus miribalis- it is in the urinary tract and vagina. Cranberry supplements and juice only aggravate the symptoms. Also saw cryptolepsis can be used as a douche.
Are there any reports that cryptolepsis can cause tinnitus as some other synthetic antibiotics can?

I recently read on another site that, someone was taking cryptolepsis to treat tinnitus and resulting hearing loss with success. Which is why I’m researching it as a treatment for my husband. Let me know if you come across any additional information, and I’ll do the same here.

Have been diagnosed with advanced lyme via brain mri's. Also have electrical block of heart that was unexplainable, assume its lyme carditis since there was no vascular blocks and have the symptoms. Does anyone have any suggestions for treatment of lymes once it's broken the blood barrier. I don't know what form of the lyme bacteria it may be, several titer tests showed nothing. Appreciate any input...

Hey Lymei. I'm in the same boat as you. Amazed by Hawthorn (I take it in veggie capsules) taken, 2 or 3 times a day. 95% of my lyme-heart-symptoms are gone. I'm also (still) searching for answers. Seems after Lyme disease, we're never the same again. A hard truth, to swallow...

Hi Mattie, if hawthorn helped you that much, you could possibly have been dealing with a Bartonella co-infection. Hi Lymei, you might find the books by Stephen Harrod Buhner helpful, he has great herbal protocols for all lyme and co-infections and addresses also which herbs to use for what expression/symptoms directly in there. other than that, find yourself a lyme literate doctor (see ilads) or naturopath.

Cryptolepis has been recommended for MRSA which I have in my toes after having a nail cut out. Is this compatible with Grapefruit seed extract? Do you have other recommendations for this. I have been on antibiotics for a month and no improvement.

Dear Nancy
Cryptolepsis holds antibacterial property and so can be used. Other recommendations to treat MRSA are: * Take Echinacea and Goldenseal capsules. Have 1 everyday for 15 days.
* Take out fresh juice of Spinach, Carrot leaves, Beetroot leaves and Water Cress. Have 1 glass of juice daily. You may also take soup. Have it for 15 days.
* Take 2-3 fresh Garlic pods and mash them. Leave it for 10 min. Have it with a glass of water.
* Include Ginger Tea.
* Take Turmeric decoction. Add a pinch of Turmeric and black pepper in lukewarm water. Have it once a day for few days. Since it is hot in potency, have it for few day, discontinue the use and have after gap of a week.
Write back for further assistance.

Cryptolepsis is being suggested to me for mycobacterium avium complex.
I have no symptoms and was diagnosed by accident because of an MRI on my abdomen.
Have you any experience with this?
Thoughts.
Thank you so much.
