Description
Thyroid Cancer is a disease of the Thyroid gland.
When cancer cells proliferate in the Thyroid Gland it is Thyroid Cancer.
Thyroid Gland is located in the front of the neck just below the adam ' apple. It is a butterfly shaped gland. The thyroid gland produces thyroid hormones. The release of Thyroid Hormones is controlled by the Pituitary gland and the Hypothalamus. The thyroid hormones regulate the metabolism of the body. They regulate the Blood Pressure, Heart Rate and Body Temperature.
When the abnormal cells in the Thyroid Gland grow rapidly, It gives rise to the Thyroid Cancer.
It causes impairment of the other body functions.
