Description
Slip Disc is a disease of the Spinal Cord.
Any severe damage to the structure of the disc causes Slip Disc.
The Spinal Cord is made up of Vertebrae.
The Vertebrae contains bones and cartilage discs. The central part of the Vertebrae is called Spinal Canal through which the Spinal Cord passes. It receives shock and protects the Spinal Cord from damage.
Three types of Spinal Cord are
Cervical Vertebrae : It involves the Neck.
Thoracic Vertebrae : It involves the Chest.
Lumbar Vertebrae : It involves the lower back.
The Spinal Nerve transmits the signals between the Body and the Brain. Hence it is a part of the Central Nervous System.
Any severe damage to the Spinal cord may displace the cartilage present in between the Vertebrae’s. The soft gel like substance bulges out from the ring. It causes pain and results in impairment of the Spinal Cord's Functions.
The nerve that is most affected in Slip Disc is Sciatic Nerve.

Materia Medica for Slip Disc
Single Herb Take about a kilogram of Night Jasmine,( Harshingar in Hindi ), Stem, leaves and all. Wash them. Place them in a pan. Pour at least 3 three litres of water. Bring it to boil. Lower heat. Simmer for half an hour. Cool. Store.
Drink one cup, twice a day. The morning cup should be on an empty stomach.
Expect recovery within 15 days.
Turmeric ( Haldi in India ) has a rich content of Cumin. Cumin has strong Anti inflammatory and Antioxidant property. These properties help to reduce inflammation in the back. Turmeric helps to suppress the excessive fluid leakage from the Slipped Disc. Turmeric helps to reduce the pain and swelling due to Slip Disc.
Add 1 to 2 teaspoons of Turmeric powder in a glass of warm Milk. Drink it two times day. Take it for a month to reduce the pain.
Cayenne ( Lal Mirch in India ) has a high content of Capsaicin. Capsaicin has strong Analgesic property. This property helps to reduce the pain of the back due to Slip Disc.
Make a paste of Cayenne and water. Apply the paste to the affected area. Leave it for 5 to 10 minutes. Wash off. Do this twice a day for a week.
