Description
Scoliosis is a disease of the Spine.
The condition in which a person's spine has a sideways curvature is known as Scoliosis.
It often occurs during growth, just after puberty.
In mild cases, the problem is not serious. But in severe cases, it gets worst and may develop spinal deformity.
It may give rise to other problems also such as, Heart or Lung problems
The sideways curvature may pressurize the Stomach and Intestine muscles, which may cause constipation.
Causes of Scoliosis
The actual cause is not known, but the following factors are believed the possible causes of Scoliosis.
Muscles Spasms
Cerebral Palsy
Marfan Syndrome
Neurofibromatosis
Congenital Scoliosis
Genetic or Environmental Factor
If not treated properly, Scoliosis may cause
Severe Heart and Lung problems
Bone Deformity
