Hashimoto's Thyroiditis is a disease of the Thyroid Gland.
It is an autoimmune disease. The Immune System is the defence mechanism of the Body. It fights against Germs and Infections but sometimes it attacks the Thyroid tissues, by mistake. It causes inflammation and stops the production of the Thyroid hormones.
Hashimoto's Thyroiditis leads to Hypothyroidism.

Differential diagnosis between Goiter and Hashimoto's thyroiditis:
Goiter is an abnormal enlargement of the Thyroid Gland whereas, Hashimoto's thyroiditis is an autoimmune disease. The Immune System attacks the Thyroid Gland and stops the production of Thyroid Hormones.
Materia Medica for Hashimoto's Disease
Single Herb Consume 4 tablespoons of Coconut Oil daily, once a day.
Boil a cup of water with 2 teaspoons of dried Bladderwrack herb. Leave it for 12 minutes to steep and cover it with a lid. Drink it thrice daily.
Consume Broccoli either in raw or cooked form daily in your diet.
Add 20 gm of Bauhinia tree bark powder in 200 ml of water. Boil, til the water reduces to 50 ml. Strain and drink it twice a day.
