Asbestosis is a disease of the Lungs.
The inhalation of asbestos dust or fibers in large amount causes Lung problems. Call it Asbestosis.
Asbestos are the microscopic fibers and are Heat Resistant, Electricity Resistant and Chemical Resistant. After inhalation they settle deep in the air sacs of the Lungs. It causes inflammation and scarring of the Lung tissues. It disrupts the supply of oxygen to the blood. Over the time, they move into the bloodstream and cause cough or shortness of breath.

Pneumoconiosis
Note 1: People who smoke have a high risk of developing Asbestosis. Laborers carrying the asbestos sheets day after day are at a higher risk.
